kickin up dust is a Berlin-based record label and collective. Since 2021 our party series LOVEDANCIN has introduced sounds rarely heard in the city: House, Disco, Boogie-Funk,
Soul and Latin. We focus on African-American music heritage and international artists of color, many of whom perform in Berlin for the first time. Highlights include D-Train and several other debut performances. Alongside more than 20 events we have released four records on vinyl. A key element are invited dance groups, who enrich thecultural dimension of our nights. For the 2025 Festival Week we plan LOVEDANCIN – Bridging Realities at Club Ost (11 Oct).

International DJs meet dancers who translate the music into movement, turning the dancefloor into a collective experience. We build bridges between musical roots and Berlin’s present, strengthen diversity and open access to underrepresented genres. Our vision is to enrich Berlin with a sustainable hub for musical diversity and cultural exchange.
