Jiā LaP Presents: Silk Road Frequencies
This one-day, three-part program reinterprets the historic Silk Road as a living bridge between cultures, generations, and realities. In keeping with the 2025 festival theme “Bridging Realities,” it combines traditional instruments, experimental live acts, and club sounds into a community-building journey from day into night.
In the afternoon, a community gathering with a listening jam invites participants to bring their own instruments and improvise together with folk instruments such as the erhu, guqin, or bagpipes—an expression of listening and exchange. Two short workshops on electronic music production introduce synthesizers, track production, and creative structures in dance music.
In the evening, performances will bridge the gap between tradition and avant-garde; the night will feature B2B sets by international DJs. The program is planned at a potential venue for the MULTICORE series, known for its excellent surround sound and indoor-outdoor stages.
