Vaz Oliver
Singer-songwriter – Madrid/Berlin
Vaz Oliver is a retro-futuristic singer-songwriter with influences ranging from Tim Buckley to Sufjan Stevens, passing through Neil Young or Nick Drake.
In recent times, he has opted for a more direct and minimalist sound, accompanied most of the time only by his acoustic guitar and a few occasional effects in an attempt to maintain maximum humanity and honesty in his songs.
Originally from Madrid and currently based in Berlin, Vaz Oliver has performed more than 400 concerts around the world.
He has published 10 works to date and also composes regularly for theater, dance, contemporary circus and visual media.
He also teaches courses and workshops on live looping and handling of pedals and effects.
