Signal to Noise

Signal to Noise is an event series at Arkaoda that showcases the sounds emanating from the Sound Studies and Sonic Arts master’s program at UdK, as well as occasional guest performers from the wider experimental music and sound art community of Berlin.

For this special edition within the festival week “Bridging Realities – 35 Years of Movement,” the evening emphasizes the connections between emerging generations of sound artists in academia and the established experimental scene across the city.

The event structure moves from workshop to concert to club night, allowing the audience to witness and take part in the processes of sound art. Arkaoda, with its history of connecting experimental and club communities, provides the ideal setting for this intergenerational and
intercultural exchange and creates bridges between established artists and the next generation of creative mind.

Arkaoda Berlin is the sister venue of the renowned Istanbul institution that has shaped the city’s nightlife for over 26 years. Since 2018, arkaoda Berlin has become a unique and inclusive platform
for local and international artists from across the independent music spectrum and beyond. Arkaoda is now an important part of Berlin's cultural life, a valued social hub in the Neukölln neighbourhood. We are committed to pursuing a rich music and arts program, launching more
