Teufelsberg: from surveillance past to somatic presence

Once a listening station, now a place to feel. From static to flow, the
hill is reclaimed for movement, connection, and sound.

The programme begins with a guided forest walk through Grunewald, led by
an experienced local tour guide. This educational walk combines
historical storytelling, elements of forest bathing, and moments of
mindful listening. Participants are encouraged to experience the forest
through silence, sound, and sensory awareness.

At the summit, DJ and dance therapist tamypro leads a 60-minute Somatic
Rave. A practice in deep listening and physical response, the session
uses breath and guided movement to tune into a collective frequency. The
day closes with a Sensory Sound Bath beneath the dome, where the
ethereal acoustics provide a soft landing.

Overflow

Born to fill a gap in Berlin’s rave scene, Overflow creates spaces where euphoria and release can coexist with care and sensory attention, weaving scent, sound, and touch into each experience. We began with a pop-up Sensory Rave Spa in 2023, exploring sensory design for pleasure, safety, and nervous system regulation. The immediate community response affirmed this need, and in 2024, we opened a studio at Adalbert 9. Here, we hosted Sensory Rave Spa events, workshops, research, including a wellbeing survey with 143 participants, and roundtables with other care-focused collectives. Though the studio's sudden closure was a challenge, we remain committed to reimagining club culture. We continue this work through our Sensory Rave Spas and embodied workshops, cultivating deep listening and transformative experiences on Berlin's dancefloors. Now, we are focused on securing a new, permanent home to continue building a lasting sanctuary that fosters a more regenerative club culture in Berlin.
