saHHara x Tag Der Clubkultur

For the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR festival week, SAHRA presents a special edition reimagining “Bridging Realities – 35 Years of Movement” through music and community representation. If reunification broke down borders, our reality is breaking the gendered, racial, and cultural barriers that persist in nightlife. At Badehaus, with two dancefloors, this vision comes alive: on Floor 1, established BIPOC DJs from Berlin reinterpret Arabic oldies, Dabke, and Shaabi through electronic production, merging nostalgia with innovation. Their sets are joined by live performances from queer and POC artists whose work bridges multiple identities, adding voice, lyricism, and instrumentation that connect SAHRA’s mission with wider underrepresented communities. Floor 2 turns into an Arabic karaoke space, celebrating the joy of collective singing, memory, and cultural pride. Together, both floors create a night where heritage meets future and community becomes movement.

SAHRA PARTY

SAHRA is Berlin’s feminist Arabic club night and collective, founded in 2022 to create spaces where representation and inclusivity form the foundation. Woman-led and rooted in the Arab diaspora, SAHRA puts Arab women, queer voices, and underrepresented communities at the heart of nightlife, ensuring visibility where it is lacking. More than a party, SAHRA is a cultural statement: club spaces become places that challenge stereotypes, nurture belonging, and transform space into a political act. Its dancefloors embody care, solidarity, and cultural pride, showing nightlife can be both celebratory and revolutionary. Musically, SAHRA creates a sound unique to Berlin, weaving Arabic heritage—Dabke, Shaabi, Tarab—with electronic beats and techno energy. The result is a cross-cultural sonic language that bridges heritage and innovation, where identities converge, realities shift, and collective imagination thrives.
