Amour Africain has been a creative home for afro-electronic music, design, and community-building in Berlin since August 2023. What began as a merch idea grew organically into a multidisciplinary label with its own releases, a newly developed radio show, and several event series. Inspired by the collective Moonshine, we see ourselves as an umbrella brand for distinct, clearly defined formats: SAUTI (events), SAUTI Radio shows, label work, and our own design collective.

Our roots lie in the desire for a platform that presents African culture, music, and aesthetics in Berlin consistently, respectfully, and innovatively. Rather than surface-level appropriation, we focus on genuine collaboration and depth. We work with a growing network of event managers, producers, DJs, designers, painters, and photographers that continues to evolve and welcome new creative voices.

The SAUTI event series brings African-rooted sounds like Batida or Singeli to Berlin dancefloors early on, long before they reach the mainstream. For us, it's never just about the music, but always about cultural depth and political awareness too. We create safe spaces for Afrodiasporic, queer, and culturally curious communities, building bridges between Berlin and creative scenes across Africa.

Alongside our events, label work is a central pillar of our identity: we release music that blends afro-electronic sounds with contemporary production aesthetics, giving artists a platform who are often overlooked by the established music industry. Our radio show complements this with a curated, recurring voice in Berlin's radio landscape, creating an additional channel for exchange and visibility.

Amour Africain builds spaces where music, art, and connection merge, carried by respect, inclusion, and an innovative standard of quality. We see ourselves as a living, growing project that keeps evolving without losing sight of its roots and its ambitions.
