We understand club culture as more than entertainment: it is a form of cultural memory, where sounds, bodies, and communities carry histories forward. Yet in the current climate, ageism and market logics often sideline those who shaped Berlin’s underground, privileging visibility and metrics over legacy and experimentation. Our event resists this by staging an intergenerational dialogue, positioning the club as a commons where memory, imagination, and innovation meet.

Panke

Panke has been an independent cultural space in Berlin-Wedding since 2011, founded by a collective of artists, curators, and cultural workers. What began as a platform to give underground and less established artists visibility has grown into a lively hub where local and international communities intersect. Our organization is based on collective decision-making and a strong sense of shared responsibility, combining artistic practice with community engagement. We are rooted in the diverse social fabric of Wedding, which continues to shape our openness and orientation toward intercultural exchange. Over the years, we have developed close collaborations with institutions like Silent Green, Savvy Contemporary, CTM Festival, and Cashmere Radio, while maintaining strong connections to communities from the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Challenges such as competition in Berlin’s club landscape have encouraged us to sharpen our profile, emphasizing artistic experiment.
