Since 2020, the award has highlighted the diversity and cultural significance of Berlin\\u2019s club culture while supporting the people and initiatives behind it.<\/p><p>The award recognizes those distinguished by outstanding cultural work, social engagement, and creative vision.<\/p><p>This year, 32 awards ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 \\u20ac will be awarded.<\/p><p>TAG DER CLUBKULTUR is organized by Clubcommission Berlin and supported by the State of Berlin as well as Musicboard Berlin.<\/p><p>In addition to the award, a citywide festival week takes place each year, during which Berlin\\u2019s club scene showcases its many facets through its own events and formats.<\/p>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>WHO CAN APPLY?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>Applications are welcome from<\/p><ul><li>club operators<\/li><li>event organisers<\/li><li>club culture collectives (including those without a permanent venue)<\/li><\/ul><p>\\u00a0<\/p><p>Requirements:<\/p><ul><li>your work must be primarily based in Berlin<\/li><li>you must have been continuously active for at least one year<\/li><li>you must have your own publicly accessible programme<\/li><\/ul><p>\\u00a0<\/p><p>The call is open to all genres and disciplines within club culture (e.g. electronic music, hip-hop, jazz, experimental formats, performance art, and more).<\/p>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>To apply, you must:<\/p><ul><li>be actively operating in Berlin<\/li><li>have been continuously active for at least one year<\/li><li>clearly present your organisational structure<\/li><li>be willing to take part in public communications related to the award<\/li><\/ul>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>The following are not eligible to apply:<\/p><ul><li>members of the jury<\/li><li>the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR project team at Clubcommission Berlin<\/li><li>the executive board of Clubcommission Berlin<\/li><li>employees of the Senate administration and Musicboard Berlin<\/li><\/ul>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>CAN VOLUNTEER-LED OR NON-COMMERCIAL PROJECTS APPLY?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>Yes \\u2014 explicitly.<\/p><p>Your organisational form is not what matters. Eligibility Review<\/p><p>Your application will be reviewed to confirm that all eligibility requirements have been met.<\/p><p>2. Application Review<\/p><p>Applications are assessed by two independent juries:<\/p><ul><li>one jury for clubs<\/li><li>one jury for collectives<\/li><\/ul><p>\\u00a0<\/p><p>The jury evaluates each application as a whole, with particular attention to:<\/p><ul><li>artistic and conceptual quality<\/li><li>relevance to the chosen category<\/li><li>contribution to Berlin\\u2019s club culture<\/li><\/ul><p>\\u00a0<\/p><p>3. Jury Deliberation &amp; Final Selection<\/p><p>The juries make their final decisions during joint deliberation sessions.<\/p><p>All applicants will be informed of the outcome approximately six weeks after the application deadline.<\/p>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>WILL UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS RECEIVE FEEDBACK?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>No.<\/p><p>Jury deliberations are confidential, and individual decisions will not be publicly explained.<\/p>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>WHAT CAN THE PRIZE MONEY BE USED FOR?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>The prize money is unrestricted.<\/p><p>There are no spending conditions and no requirement to provide proof of how it is used.<\/p><p>For example, it may be used to:<\/p><ul><li>provide matching funds for future grant applications<\/li><li>realize events or projects<\/li><li>finance structural or spatial improvements<\/li><li>strengthen internal organisational structures<\/li><\/ul>\",\"isOpen\":false},{\"title\":\"<p>DOES THE PRIZE MONEY NEED TO BE TAXED?<\/p>\",\"content\":\"<p>As the prize money is awarded without anything being provided in return, it is generally not subject to VAT.<\/p><p>At the same time, please note:<\/p><p>Receipt of the prize money must be declared to your relevant tax office for tax purposes.<\/p><p>The tax office will assess on a case-by-case basis whether taxes apply, and if so, in what amount.<\/p><p>We are unable to provide tax advice.
