xcuse:u invites to MINTA*-DJ Workshops
As part of the festival week, we are kicking off a 4-part workshop series! Queer youth and MINTA* who are interested in diving into the world of DJing are invited to attend. No previous experience is
necessary; what counts is a love of music. At the same time, a space for exchange, experimentation, and empowerment will be created. Together, we will learn the basics of DJing step by step: How do mixers and CDJs work? How can transitions be designed and your own sets put together?
Under this year's theme, “Bridging Realities – 35 Years of Reunification,” we want to use our DJ workshops to give young people across generations and neighborhoods access and the opportunity to contribute their perspectives. Together with the Feuerwache youth club in Britz and WIB-Jugend e.V. in Moabit, we are creating spaces where the next generation can help shape club culture.

xcuse:u
xcuse:u is an interdisciplinary FLINTA* collective founded in 2022 with the goal of taking progressive steps towards more diversity, representation, and awareness in club culture. Our approach combines club nights with political education: we create spaces where we focus on empowerment, safe(r) spaces, and sensitivity to discrimination. In addition, our events highlight FLINTA* artists and community building. Since the beginning, our collective is working on creating spaces of solidarity and care where FLINTA* perspectives are at the very center. Today, we count 7 active members with different disciplinary backgrounds. Alongside club nights, we organize workshops on body empowerment, awareness, the history of club culture, and DJing for FLINTA*.
