SUBVERTED is a queer, trans-led record label, event (club nights and listening sessions) and podcast series, workshop platform as well as music premiere platform that aims to focus on the darker genres of electronic music, ranging from drone, dark ambient and noise, broken beat to hypnotic techno, new wave/ post punk, EBM, contemporary industrial and hard techno. SUBVERTED holds a commutniy space for queer goths, nonconforming industrial savanths, punks, music nerds, misfits, techno queens, cave-dwelling noise goblins, doom-gloom dykes, faggots, trannies, and everyone outside societal norms who straddles the boundary of cute and scary. SUBVERTED inhabits a niche in Berlin’s club culture through the intersection of queerness and the harsher and darker side of techno, aiming to keep underground and queer goth and dark techno culture alive.
